Helping to change the lives of people with disabilities worldwide by having our Council donates at least $150 each year for a wheelchair. The Order's wheelchair program reached a major milestone in late 2020, surpassing more than 100,000 wheelchairs since the first donation 18 years ago. This program is now a part of of the Council’s annual budget.

Each year the Council provides a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior in the Parish. The applicant must be a practicing Catholic in the Parish. He/she must also be active in the Parish as well as the community. The applicant must also show how time and talent will be used in the future. In addition, the applicant must have maintained a B (3.0) average throughout high school.

Every month, except through the summer, the Council hosts a broadcast of the Prayers of the Rosary on Radio Station KVGC, 96.5 fm and 1340 am. These broadcasts in the future will be recorded on the first Tuesday of each month and broadcast the next evening at 6:30 pm. The selection here is the final broadcast of the 2021-2022 season, which features a discussion on the history of the Rosary.

Piercing the heavens at an awe-inspiring height of 329 feet, the Knights Tower is rivaled in the Capitol only by the Washington Monument. It is also home to the Basilica’s 56-bell carillon, which has rung out during pivotal moments in the life of America’s Catholic Church, from the solemn remembrance of 9/11 to the jubilant arrival of Pope Francis in 2015. As we celebrate the 58th anniversary of the installation of the Knights Tower Carillon on July 23, we offer an inside look into this beloved feature of the Basilica.
